EUCRASIA Announces Concept for a "Personal Health Information Utilisation Service" (Provisional Name) Powered by LIFELEAF® from US-Based Lifeplus — Proof of Concept under way since August 2026, aiming to enable the consent-based circulation and use of personal health data —
EUCRASIA K.K. (Head Office: Meisan Takahama Building 6F, 2-12-23 Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Kensho Kojima) announces its concept for a new "Personal Health Information Utilisation Service" (provisional name), built on the LIFELEAF® solution manufactured and marketed by Lifeplus, Inc. of the United States (Head Office: 1625 The Alameda, Suite 406, San Jose, CA 95126; CEO: Alodeep Sanyal, PhD).
■ Overview of the Concept
The concept aims to securely aggregate, visualise and make use of the health information that individuals generate in the course of their daily lives, on the fundamental premise of each individual's consent.
- Aggregation of diverse data: In addition to data captured via Bluetooth and other connections from smartwatch-type sensors, stationary sensors and other mobile sensors, the service will support the logging of dietary information through images and voice input.
- Visualisation and consultation for the individual: A smartphone (iOS) application will present the user's health status as key performance indicators (KPIs), and an AI-powered health consultation feature is also planned.
- Consent-based data sharing: With the individual's consent, the service will enable data exchange with public data banks (such as PHR platforms), data analysis organisations, health service providers and other parties.
- Incentives to encourage participation: A scheme to reward users with points or similar benefits for providing data and for continued use is under consideration.
■ About the Proof of Concept (PoC)
Since August 2026, EUCRASIA has been conducting a PoC in collaboration with partner companies and academic institutions in Japan, which is scheduled to conclude at the end of November 2026. Through the PoC, we are evaluating technical feasibility, user acceptance and the operational viability of data sharing, among other aspects.
